2005 Holden Adventra SX6.jpg

Holden Adventra. 2003–6 (prod. n/a). 5-door wagon. F/A, 3565 cm³ (V6 DOHC), 5665 cm³ (V8 OHV). Holden Commodore (VY)-based raised wagon, developed under Peter Hanenberger’s leadership, to show the company could build extra derivatives off a single platform. Cost relatively little to develop, but never that successful. Substantial 200 mm ground clearance. Heavy and thirsty in V8 form. VZ facelift in 2005 saw V6 installed, resulting in a lighter and more efficient package. Not directly replaced till Commodore Tourer arrived in the late 2010s.

Manufacturing location: Elizabeth, South Australia, Australia

Marque: Holden | Successor: Opel Insignia B
