Hino Contessa 900 (PC10). 1961–4 (prod. 47,000 approx.). 4-door sedan. R/R, 893 cm³ (I4 OHV). Hino’s own car, built after its experience assembling the Renault 4CV. Rear-engined as with the Renault, relying heavily on the earlier car as well as the existing production facilities. Won its class in the touring car championships as well as the Japanese Grand Prix of 1963. Known for its manœuvreability and smooth engine. Beautiful Sprint model shown at Torino in 1962, designed by Michelotti, but only one produced for shows.

Manufacturing location: Tokyo, Japan

Marque: Hino | Model: Hino Contessa | Predecessor: Renault 4CV | Successor: Hino Contessa 1300
