Haima Family (海馬 福美來) M5. 2014 to date (prod. n/a). 4-door sedan. F/F, 1591 cm³ (I4 DOHC). Wider and longer than Haima’s previous efforts in the C-segment, and styled by Luciano d’Ambrosio of LDA Design in Torino. Very well equipped and handled well, with front MacPherson struts and rear multi-link suspension, though initial reports indicated it was still a bit soft for sudden manœuvres. Considered a step ahead for Haima, which had been basing previous models on old Mazda tech. Name tied it both to Haima’s latest M series of cars, as well as the Family range which had been on sale since 2003.
