2020 Haima 7X.jpg

Haima 7X. 2020 to date (prod. n/a). 5-door MPV. F/F, 1497, 1594 cm³ (I4 DOHC). Haima launches a model after a long drought of releases, finally replacing its successful Freema. Positioned as a smaller counterpart to the likes of the Buick GL8 (2011–), with lower fuel consumption and price, Haima went after families with two children. Took the philosophy of the Freema: a car for work and family: either a five-seater for work or a seven-seater for family travel, with room for the children, parents and grandparents. Wheelbase at 2,860 mm, and other dimensions oversized, too: 4,815 mm length, 1,874 mm width, 1,720 mm height. Comfortable seating: one could even use the rear row flat as a double bed. Deep boot for luggage. Bosch ESP 9·3 system to aid stability, and plenty of safety equipment (blind-spot monitoring, three rows of side curtain airbags, adaptive cruise control among them, plus in-car camera to monitor children). Voice control system for rear passengers includes a program to play nursery rhymes for children. Air purifier and negative-ion generator for a clean riding environment.

Manufacturing location: China

Marque: Haima | Predecessor: Haima Freema (2008–14)
