Geely Emgrand GL/Geely Emgrand EV Pro. 2016 to date (prod. n/a). 4-door sedan. F/F, 1299, 1398, 1799 cm³ (I4 DOHC), 1477 cm³ (I3 DOHC), 51·8, 52·7 kWh electric. More formal booted sedan version of Geely Emgrand GS, sharing FE platform and engines. Floating centre console from GS, not unlike Volvo interiors’. Handsome exterior design like a scaled-down Geely Borui. Improved quality. Chief rivals included Roewe 360 and Chery Arrizo 7. Minor refreshes in 2018 (1·4 introduced, replacing 1·3) and 2020 (1·5 triple introduced). Formed the basis of the Emgrand EV Pro from December 2020. From 2022, the 51·8 kWh models were announced, with 430 km range, a rise of 9 km over the 52·7 kWh versions.
