Geely Binyue (吉利繽越/吉利缤越) (SX11). 2018 to date (prod. n/a). 5-door SUV. F/F, 998, 1477 cm³ (I3 DOHC), 1398, 1499 cm³ (I4 DOHC). Geely’s compact crossover, surprisingly with two three-cylinder engines, the larger developing a healthy 177 PS. Even the base model’s 136 PS with a six-speed manual gearbox was respectable. First crossover on Geely’s BMA architecture. Now-familiar corporate grille and floating roof outside; simple and reasonably timeless interior. Good power delivery, and acceptable ride, making one forget that the engines were triples. Very good handling. Felt strong and well made. Badge-engineered for the Malaysian market as Proton X50 from 2020. Four-cylinder engines replaced triples in 2020 on the home market. Facelifts in 2021 and 2022.
