2010 GMC Terrain.jpg

GMC Terrain. 2010–17 (prod. n/a). 5-door SUV. F/F, F/A, 2384 cm³ (I4 DOHC), 2997, 3564 cm³ (V6 DOHC). GMC’s Theta-based crossover, related to Chevrolet Equinox (2010–17) and Cadillac SRX (2010–16) and taking over from the Pontiac Torrent when GM killed off that brand. Smallest vehicle in the GMC range. Initially a strong entry into the mid-sized sector, with good fuel economy and, by 2010 standards, ride. Handling was acceptable for the sector, though steering was vague. Cabin was considered well designed in 2010, less so in 2017, though cargo room was limited even at the start. V6s were the better units, with the four lacking in power. Denali luxury trim from 2013 model year.

Manufacturing location: Ingersoll, Ontario, Canada

Marque: GMC | Model: GMC Terrain | Predecessor: Pontiac Torrent | Successor: GMC Terrain (2018–)
