Ford Zodiac Mk IV.jpg

Ford Zodiac (3012E). 1966–72 (prod. 48,846). 4-door saloon, 5-door estate. F/R, 2994 cm³ (V6 OHV). Big, soft Ford, with odd proportions, taking over from successful Mk III. Not a success, perhaps due to styling or too-large size for British buyers. Generous equipment levels, reclining seats. Advanced for its time with disc brakes, all independent suspension, but front-heavy weight distribution meant poor handling. Estates converted by E. D. Abbott Ltd. of Farnham but had official factory support.

Manufacturing location: Dagenham, London, England

Marque: Ford | Model: Ford Zodiac | Predecessor: Ford Zodiac Mk III | Successor: Ford Granada Mk I

q.v. Ford Zephyr Mk IV, Ford Executive
