Ford Taurus X

Ford Taurus X (D219). 2008–9 (prod. n/a). 5-door wagon. F/F, F/A, 3496 cm³ (V6 DOHC). Renamed Ford Freestyle, introduced after Alan Mulally took over as CEO, tapping into the goodwill of the Taurus model line. Facelifted, with more purposeful, three-bar grille, with larger V6, in parallel with developments with the Ford Taurus Mk V. The renaming didn’t work as sales dropped, and the X was deleted after 2009.
