Ford Sierra RS Cosworth. 1986–8 (prod. 5,042, plus 500 RS500). 3-door saloon. F/R, 1993 cm³ (4 cyl. DOHC). Ultimate Ford Sierra Mk I, with Cosworth-developed YB DOHC engine based on old Ford Pinto unit developing 152 kW. Tuned racing versions—based on RS500—with 410 kW (167 kW standard, the 15 kW due party to Garrett turbocharger and extra injectors). Developed for Group A motor racing, and highly successful; nicknamed Cossie colloquially.
