Ford LTD (Fox). 1983–6 (prod. unknown; 3,260 LX). 4-door sedan, 5-door wagon. F/R, 2302 cm³ (V6 OHC), 3273, 3797 cm³ (6 cyl. OHV), 4942 cm³ (V8 OHV). Restyled Ford Fairmont (Fox), with all the bugs ironed out. In another downsizing phase, Ford shifted its full-sized nameplate to what was a compact back in the 1970s, while the traditional Panther-platform LTD was renamed LTD Crown Victoria. Fuel injection for 3·8 in 1984; performance LX model the same model year with V8.
