Ford Escape (U204). 2008–14 (prod. n/a). 5-door SUV. F/A, 2261 cm³ (I4 DOHC). One more facelift for U204, this time introducing three-bar grille similar to US Fords. Minor changes in 2009 to grille with cross-hatch pattern. Chrome more subtly applied, and faux side vent in front wings gives more contemporary look. Not available in North America; aimed at international markets. Cosmetic changes from 2006–8 model, with V6 deleted. No curtain airbags or electronic stability control, showing car’s age. Taiwan production to 2013.
