Second-generation Edge goes global, including right-hand-drive markets. Wheelbase up, along with length and height, but width down by 0·25 cm. Roomier than before, with increases in passenger and cargo space. Diesel for Europe, while 2·0 EcoBoost unit has higher compression that previous unit. The 2·7 became the flagship powerplant for Edge Sport, with 315 hp. Weight reduction, while additional standard equipment, including enhanced park assist, adaptive cruise control, and lane departure warning. Quiet and comfortable, building on first generation’s qualities.
