Ford Edge Mk II

Ford Edge. 2015 to date (prod. n/a). 5-door SUV. F/F, F/A, 1997 cm³ diesel, 1999 cm³ petrol (I4 DOHC), 2694, 3490 cm³ (V6 DOHC). Second-generation Edge goes global, including right-hand-drive markets. Wheelbase up, along with length and height, but width down by 0·25 cm. Roomier than before, with increases in passenger and cargo space. Diesel for Europe, while 2·0 EcoBoost unit has higher compression that previous unit. The 2·7 became the flagship powerplant for Edge Sport, with 315 hp. Weight reduction, while additional standard equipment, including enhanced park assist, adaptive cruise control, and lane departure warning. Quiet and comfortable, building on first generation’s qualities.
