Reskin for Crown Vic, giving it a more formal look closer to that of the Mercury Grand Marquis (1992–2011). Supposedly with Ford’s New Edge styling, though not as modern as other models in the range. Revised rear suspension with Watt’s link, aiding handling; larger brakes meant 16-inch wheels. Redesigned chassis in 2003, and minor yearly changes thereafter to 2007. Fleet sales from 2008. US and Canadian sales to end of 2011 model year; 2012s—built for 16 days—to Middle East only.
Marque: Ford | Model: Ford Crown Victoria | Predecessor: Ford Crown Victoria (1992–7) | Successor: Ford Taurus Mk VI
