Ford Crown Victoria (EN114). 1998–2012 (prod. 827,371 to 2007 incl.). 4-door sedan, 4-door LWB sedan. F/R, 4601 cm³ (V8 OHC). Reskin for Crown Vic, giving it a more formal look closer to that of the Mercury Grand Marquis (1992–2011), with body-on-frame design. Supposedly with Ford’s New Edge styling, though not as modern as other models in the range. Revised rear suspension with Watt’s link, aiding handling; larger brakes meant 16-inch wheels. Redesigned chassis in 2003, and minor yearly changes thereafter to 2007. Fleet sales only, from 2008. US and Canadian sales to end of 2011 model year; 2012s—built for 16 days—to Middle East only. LWB with extra six inches from 2002, for fleets in North America, though exported to the Middle East for retail sale.
