Ford Bronco. 1980–6 (prod. n/a). 3-door SUV. F/A, 4098, 4917 cm³ (I6 OHV), 4942, 5766 cm³ (V8 OHV). Bronco shifts to new-generation F-series truck base, shorter, lighter (by 375 lb) and more efficient. Two different 5·8 V8s offered during run, with the same capacity (351M and Windsor). Four-speed manual, or three- or four-speed automatic available. Independent front suspension improved ride, leaf springs at rear. Also assembled in Australia with Australian engines. Eddie Bauer trim package from 1985.
