Ford Bronco. 1978–9 (prod. 181,955). 3-door SUV. F/A, 5766, 6590 cm³ (V8 OHV). Greatly postponed second-generation Bronco, meant to have been launched in 1974, but for the fuel crisis. Larger and more luxurious than predecessor. Based around the F-100 pick-up, with parts common to both. Featured a lift-off hardtop behind the B-pillar. Optional dual shocks for front suspension, heavy-duty rear shocks, and front and rear sway bars.
