Fiat Punto/Zastava 10/Fiat Punto Classic (Progetto 188). 1999–2011 (prod. 5,000,000 approx.). 3- and 5-door saloon. F/F, 1242 cm³ petrol, 1910 cm³ diesel (I4 OHC), 1242, 1368, 1747 cm³ petrol, 1248 cm³ diesel (I4 DOHC). Second-generation Punto, with more squared-off shape, and the return of the round Fiat badge to celebrate the company’s centenary. Greatly improved, spacious and comfortable, though interior still on the plasticky side. Facelifts in 2003 and 2007, at which it became the Fiat Punto Classic in Italy. Italian production ceased 2010 as the car did not comply with Euro V emissions’ standards. Zastava 10 from 2006 to 2008 in Serbia; after Fiat took over Zastava, the car was relaunched in January 2009 as the Punto Classic.
