Fiat Idea (Tipo 350). 2003–16 (prod. over 500,000 Brazil only). 5-door MPV. F/F, 1248 cm³ diesel, 1368 cm³ petrol (I4 DOHC), 1796 cm³ petrol, 1910 cm³ diesel (I4 OHC). Small MPV based on Fiat Punto (188) platform. Brazilian model launched 2005. Facelifts in 2006 for European model and 2010 for Brazilian one; further facelift in Brazil in 2013. Faux off-roader, Idea Adventure, released by Fiat do Brasil in 2006. Plentiful space, though some of the cubby holes for storage not that sizeable. A smooth ride, as expected in this sector. A tad basic at the lower end. Italian model replaced in 2012 with 500L, though Idea continued in Brazil till 2016, eventually only in Adventure guise.
