Built on a [[Fiat Tipo (160)]] platform. Led by American designer Chris Bangle, with exterior by Centro Stile (Nevio de Giusto and Peter Davis), Pininfarina having designed the interior. Pininfarina also built the cars, with roughly half the production for the domestic market. Controversial wheel arch slashes, one of Bangle’s contributions. Retro touches, including the interior and alloy petrol cap. Delta Integrale 2·0 for flagship initially, with 190 PS and traction control; replaced in 1996 by five-cylinder, the turbo version developing 220 PS, the fastest production Fiat at the time.
