From AutocadeFiat 125. 1967–81 (prod. 603,877 in Italy only). 4-door saloon, 5-door estate. F/R, 1608 cm³ (I4 DOHC). Fiat 124 centre section with different front and rear ends, adapted to the 1300 and 1500 platform. Rear-wheel drive as a result, with proportions apeing the earlier car. Twin cam from Fiat 124 Sport Coupé, and the 125 was good for 160 km/h. Basic engine had 90 PS, but 110 and 125 PS ones were also available. Italian production to 1972, when Argentinian production began, with 110 PS from 1976; 125 PS for 125 Sport, covered separately. Familiar state available in Argentina, with a rear end more slanted than that of Polski-Fiat 125p. Facelift in 1980 to 125 Mirafiori, updating the car with blacked-out details; cancelled the following year by Sevel.
