Facel Vega Excellence. 1958–64 (prod. 153). 4-door hardtop saloon. F/R, 5907, 6286, 6430 cm³ (V8 OHV). Facel’s entry into the super-saloon market, competing with the likes of the Lagonda Rapide and Maserati Quattroporte I, derived from the Facel Vega FV3B coupé and presented at Paris 1956. Hardtop saloon, with no B-pillar. Original EX with 6·4 (prod. 11, from May 1958), revised to EX1 with 5·9 from HK 500 coupé. Final EX2 (prod. 81) from July 1961, with 6·3; disc brakes now standard.
