1982 Dodge Mirada.jpg

Dodge Mirada. 1980–3 (prod. 53,000 approx.). 2-door coupé. F/R, 3687 cm³ (I6 OHV), 5210, 5898 cm³ (V8 OHV). Downsized replacement for B-platform Magnum. Twin to J-body Chrysler Cordoba (1980–3) and related to the M-body Dodge Aspen and Plymouth Volaré. Shares most of the shortcomings of Aspen: style but not much substance. Overpriced for something that was essentially a Dodge Diplomat (1977–89) two-door with more slanted grille. Chrysler attempted Nascar competition with the car, but it was less favoured than Ford and GM models.

Manufacturing location: Windsor, Ontario, Canada

Marque: Dodge | Predecessor: Dodge Magnum (1978–9) | Successor: Dodge 600
