Dodge Intrepid. 1998–2004 (prod. n/a). 4-door sedan. F/F, 2736 cm³ (V6 DOHC), 3231, 3518 cm³ (V6 OHC). Redesign of LH series, with a more solid, aggressive look. Heavily redesigned chassis. Very good handling, especially against domestic competition. Also a very good ride, and, thanks to the cab-forward design, the Intrepid was very roomy. Rear visibility less stellar thanks to high trunk. ES had 3·2 V6 for 1998, this became an option in 1999 when 2·7 became standard for base model and ES. R/T added for 2000 model year with new 3·5. SXT took over from R/T for 2003.
