1976 Dodge Charger Daytona.jpg

Dodge Charger. 1975–8 (prod. 160,967). 2-door coupé. F/R, 225 in³ (I6 OHV), 318, 360, 400, 440 in³ (V8 OHV). Charger name applied to a personal–luxury car for 1975, a corporate twin to the Chrysler Cordoba (1975–9) save for grille and taillights. Charger Daytona package for 1976 and 1977, but this was merely a two-tone cosmetic job. The name was also used on rebadged Coronet coupés (1976), as the base Charger and Charger Sport, and the six was standard for the one model year, but these models became the Dodge Monaco (1977–8) the following year. Unreliable and cramped but with reasonable handling, despite the bulk.

Manufacturing locations: Detroit, Michigan, USA; Hamtramck, Michigan, USA; St Louis, Missouri, USA

Marque: Dodge | Model: Dodge Charger | Predecessor: Dodge Charger (1971–4) | Successors: Dodge Monaco (1977–8), Dodge Magnum (1978–9)
