Dodge Caliber. 2007–12 (prod. over 160,000). 5-door sedan. F/F, F/A, 1798, 1998, 2360 cm³ petrol, 2143 cm³ diesel (I4 DOHC). Chunky crossover replacement for Neon, with styling in line with larger Dodges, but too unusual to find favour among buyers as a Ford Focus or Honda Civic challenger. SRT models perform and handle well, but lesser Calibers have poor performance and almost all feel unrefined. Roomy, with well designed cabin, but low-quality plastics in the interior let down the package. Four-wheel drive till 2009. Sold largely on price. Last vehicles off the line late in 2011.
