De Tomaso Longchamp. 1972–89 (prod. 409, incl. 14 Spyder). 2-door coupé, 2-door convertible. F/R, 5766 cm³ (V8 OHV). Sports car based on a shortened De Tomaso Deauville platform, with Mercedes-Benz SL (R107)-style looks. Styled by Tom Tjaarda at Ghia. As with De Tomaso Pantera, powered by Cleveland 351 engine from Ford; usually mated with an automatic transmission here. GTS and Spyder (the latter by Carrozerria Pavesi) shown at Torino in 1980. Quality niggles as with most de Tomasos—probably not helped by the fuel crisis in its early years—resulting in very poor sales.

Manufacturing locations: Bruciata, Montepulciano, Italy

Marque: De Tomaso

q.v. Maserati Kyalami
