Daimler Sovereign (XJ6). 1979–86 (prod. 20,490). 4-door saloon. F/R, 4235 cm³ (I6 DOHC). Pininfarina tidied up the XJ for Series III. Daimler no longer had the 3·4 base engine. Identical to standard XJ6s but with a higher trim level and the fluted grille. More power than previous 4·2, thanks to fuel injection.
