Daimler (X300). 1994–7 (prod. 92,038 incl. Jaguar X300, X305 and X306). 4-door saloon, 4-door LWB saloon. F/R, 3980 cm³ (I6 DOHC). Greatly improved thanks to Ford’s investment. Top-of-the-line six-cylinder X300, with larger engine, high equipment level, and fluted radiator grille. Exported to North America as Jaguar Vanden Plas, with short wheelbase to begin with; long wheelbase from 1996 model year on.
