More capable than the likes of the Toyota RAV4, thanks to its permanent four-wheel drive and manually lockable differential on 4WD models. Roomy due to the height. Minor changes in 1998 and 2000; RWD added in 2000. Also badged Toyota Cami. Shortened model called Daihatsu Terios Kid. Malaysian Perodua Kembara made under licence.
