Daihatsu revives an old off-road model name after 36 years but for a boxy kei sedan. DNGA-A platform and monocoque construction. Large 15-inch wheels, aiding Taft on rough surfaces. Active safety including collision avoidance, adaptive cruise control, and a sway-warning function. Very successful at launch, with 18,000 sold in the first month, quadrupling expected demand.
