Daihatsu Mira (ダイハツ・ミラ) (L55/L55V). 1980–5 (prod. n/a). 3- and 5-door sedan. F/F, F/A, 547, 617 cm³ (I2 OHC). Originally the Mira Cuore, taking over from the Max Cuore, with the Japanese range made up mostly of commercial vans, as they attracted no excise tax. Passenger-car models, including five-door hatchback, for export. Larger-capacity engine for export. Mid-term changes in 1982, upon which the Cuore portion of the name was dropped, and there was a mild facelift. Turbo and 4WD models from 1983.
