DOHC). Well equipped and cheap to run, though contemporary reports indicated front grip was poor. Badged Charade in some countries for export, and equipped with one-litre engine; the home market made do with 0·7-litre unit. Very low fuel consumption, with stop–start in Japan. Anti-skid, ABS and traction control available. Various special editions kept interest going in Japan. Mid-term changes 2005. Ran alongside successor briefly, but cancelled 2009.
