Daewoo Tosca Premium 6.jpg

Daewoo Tosca (V250). 2005 to date (prod. unknown). 4-door sedan. F/F, 1796 cm³ petrol, 1991 cm³ turbodiesel (4 cyl.), 1993, 2492 cm³ petrol (6 cyl.). Replacement for Daewoo Magnus has even less distinguished styling. Name an abbreviation of Tomorrow Standard Car, suggesting Daewoo was not aiming too highly. Outdated at 2006 European launch, but cheap, and small two-litre six-cylinder engine a step up from the usual fours in this class. Safety record as yet unknown but predecessors (V100 and V200) did not score well. Sold as Chevrolet Epica in Europe, and Holden Epica in Australia (from 2007). Turbodiesel co-developed by GM and VM Motori added 2007. Facelift in 2007 to give car more presence for European market; more luxurious Premium 6 variant added 2008 in Korea, along with some general improvements to range (e.g. six-speed gearbox).

Manufacturing location: Bupyong, Korea

Marque: Daewoo | Predecessor: Daewoo Magnus, Holden Vectra
