Carried on J codes from the GM J-car (Opel Ascona C, which formed the basis of the Espero). Roomier than Kia Sephia (B5K), one of its rivals. Poor performance due to the weight. Good ride. Gearshift notchy, competent handling with MacPherson struts at front and dual-link at rear, with some understeer. Facelift in March 1999 to Nubira II (J150), with redesigned interior and new instrument panel, suspension, steering and refinement improved.

Manufacturing location: Bupyeong, Korea

Marque: Daewoo | Predecessor: Daewoo Espero | Successor: Daewoo Lacetti (J241)
