Revised platform for Kalos, with sedan going on first in 2005, hatchbacks at end of 2007. Outwardly, a facelift, with hatchbacks (Gentra X) looking the same from the rear. Still selling on price, with Opel Corsa E-based replacement expected to make the larger leap into competitiveness after 2010. Badge-engineered models bear names including Chevrolet Aveo, Chevrolet Lova, Holden Barina, Pontiac Wave and Pontiac G3.
