1958 Lincoln Continental Mark III.jpg

Continental Mark III. 1958 (prod. 3,048 sold for convertible only). 2-door coupé, 2-door convertible, 4-door sedan. F/R, 430 in³ (V8 OHV). Technically not a Lincoln though serviced at Lincoln dealers: Continental was a separate division at Ford. (Ford merged the Continental line into the Lincoln marque after this model year.) Huge car and out of step as US economy went into recession in 1958 and people sought smaller cars. Handling respectable by US standards despite bulk.

Manufacturing location: USA

Marque: Continental | Predecessor: Continental Mark II | Successor: Lincoln Continental Mark IV (1959)
