From AutocadeCitroën ID. 1956–69 (prod. 835,666, incl. D Special and D Super). 4-door saloon, 5-door estate. F/F, 1911, 1985 cm³ (I4 OHV). Low-spec DS, with Traction 11D engine and fewer hydraulic systems initially (reserved for the suspension), to replace the Traction. Luxe model first, before a very austere Normale in October 1957 and a more luxurious Confort. White roof from 1961. Brake assist from 1962 with power steering option; mild facelift in 1963, with new gearbox, and the option of the DS19 engine with 83 PS. Base engine power upped to 70 PS in 1965, then 74 PS the year after. Larger engine from 1967 for ID19B, a detuned version of the DS’s, with 78 PS; facelift to “shark nose” in September 1967 for 1968 model year. Power upped to 81·5 PS in 1969 for ID19B, while ID20 introduced with 91 PS two-litre. ID Super was a British-built model with power brakes and steering. All models replaced by the D Special and D Super in 1969, for the 1970 model year.
