Citroën Dyane/Citroën Jian. 1967–84 (prod. 1,443,493). 5-door saloon. F/F, 425, 435, 602 cm³ (F2 OHV). Boxier, modernized Citroën 2CV with a hatchback, developed by Panhard (which had come under Citroën control), originally with that car’s 0·4-litre engine at launch. Dyane 6 with 0·6 from January 1968, and a new Dyane 4, with the 0·44-litre, replaced the original model in March. Higher compression for 0·6 from September. The Dyane 4 was deleted in 1975. Also made by SAIPA (then Citroën Iran Motor Co.), as its first car, with the name Jian (Jyane), from 1968 to 1980. It was replaced there by the Renault 5.
