Citroën C3 Picasso/Citroën Aircross (AI58/AI58R). 2008–20 (prod. 500,000 approx.). 5-door MPV. F/F, 1199 cm³ (I3 DOHC), 1397, 1587, 1598 cm³ petrol, 1560 cm³ diesel (I4 DOHC), 1449 cm³ (I4 OHC). Minispace version of Citroën C3, competing with Chevrolet Meriva and Renault Modus. Roomy all-rounder with clever interior detailing such as backlit digital dials, though plastics are not of the best grade. Soft ride, suiting this market. Brazilian models had either 1·45-litre OHC engine or 1·6 DOHC unit. Aircross débuted 2010 for Brazilian market, with different grille, higher ride height and faux off-roader accessories, but FWD only. Facelift in 2012. Further facelift for Brazilian Aircross in 2015. Slovakian production to 2017. Brazilian production to 2020, and replaced by a locally built 2023 model that differed from the European one.
