With the Chinese government encouraging foreign car manufacturers to create Chinese-only brands (that perhaps could one day be exported), Honda came up with Ciimo. Its first offering was a warmed-over, previous-generation Civic sedan. After an absence of several years, Honda revived the brand for an electric version of the XR-V.
