2002 Chrysler Town & Country.jpg

Chrysler Town & Country. 2001–7 (prod. n/a). 5-door MPV, 5-door LWB MPV. F/F, F/A, 3301, 3778 cm³ (V6 OHV). RS platform, with more luxury and decent power from the OHV 3·3, and LWB only at launch (SWB was called Voyager, brought into the Chrysler range when the Plymouth marque was retired). Lots of comfort with higher trim levels. Larger V6 from 2002, as well as DVD video option, though speccing the Town & Country right made it an expensive proposition. Voyager absorbed for 2004 model year. Mid-cycle refresh in 2005, with Stow ’n’ Go added, where the second and third row of seats folded flat, under the floor, though that meant the end of all-wheel drive. Very good ride and handling given the bulk in early years but the competition surpassed it toward the end. Not that reliable, unlike earlier Chrysler minivans, and some safety features were options.
