Chrysler New Yorker Salon.jpg

Chrysler New Yorker (C-body). 1988–93 (prod. 416,440). 4-door sedan. F/F, 3301, 3778 cm³ (V6 OHV). Basic mid-size entry carrying the famed New Yorker nameplate, based around the K-car architecture. Not quite Chrysler’s flagship—that was left to two long-nose editions of this car called the New Yorker Fifth Avenue and Imperial—but effectively an upscale Dodge Dynasty. Poor performance and handling. Minor facelift for 1992, but its styling remained woefully out of touch of turn-of-the-decade trends.
