Chrysler Alpine. 1975–9 (prod. 185,827, incl. Talbot). 5-door saloon. F/F, 1294, 1442, 1592 cm³ (4 cyl. OHV). British moniker for Simca 1307 series, designed by UK team under Roy Axe and engineered by French team, on enlarged Simca 1100 platform but manufactured in UK and France. Did not directly replace any model in Chrysler UK range but competed in roughly the same sector as Avenger and Hunter. For more information, see Simca entry.
