Chevrolet Senator. 1979–83 (prod. unknown). 4-door sedan. F/R, 4093 cm³ (6 cyl. OHV). South African version of the Opel Senator A1, but with the Chevrolet 250 under the bonnet. Flagship of the South African range, replacing Holden Statesman (HX)-based Chevrolet Caprice Classic. Appointed similarly to the German version, though the 4·1-litre engine produced less power than the Opel 3·0 six. Replaced in 1983 by a South African-made Opel Senator with the Opel unit.

Manufacturing location: Port Elizabeth, South Africa

Marque: Chevrolet | Predecessor: Holden Statesman (HX) | Successor: Opel Senator A1
