A smartly designed subcompact on the old Opel Corsa C platform, eventually replacing the Chevrolet Celta. A four-door Chinese model on the GM GEM platform appeared in 2019, and complemented the original Onix in Brazil, dubbed Onix Plus. By 2020, the second-generation Onix in four- and five-door forms had taken over in full with the exception of the entry-level model, now badged Joy.
