Chevrolet Chevy Nova/Chevrolet Nova. 1969–74 (prod. unknown). 2-, 3- and 4-door sedan. F/R, 153 in³ (4 cyl. OHV), 250 in³ (6 cyl. OHV), 307, 350, 396 in³ (V8 OHV). Renamed version of the Chevrolet Chevy II Nova of 1968. Chevrolet Chevy Nova in 1969 literature; all models simply Chevrolet Nova from 1970 on. Unremarkable and below-average reliability; 1973 facelift saw introduction of three-door hatchback sedan. Low roofline meant poor headroom. Emissions’ equipment hurt power and driveability from 1971. Continued in Argentina in to the late 1970s but with Chevy nameplate.
