2005 Chevrolet Corvette C6 Convertible.jpg

Chevrolet Corvette (C6). 2005–13 (prod. 176,414 to end of 2010 model year). 2-door coupé, 2-door targa, 2-door convertible. F/R, 5967, 6162, 7008 cm³ (V8 OHV). Sixth-generation Corvette drops in overall length but increases in wheelbase, gets a suspension overhaul, and ups the refinement. Original six-litre LS2 engine to end of 2007; 6·2 from 2008 model year. Z06 donned the seven-litre; ZR1 has LS9 version of 6·2, the most powerful engine offered in a Corvette, with 647 PS. Dynamically crude compared to the German competition, but exceptional value for money in comparison, and endearing to those who like a brutal V8.

Manufacturing location: Bowling Green, Kentucky, USA

Marque: Chevrolet | Model: Chevrolet Corvette | Predecessor: Chevrolet Corvette (C5) | Successor: Chevrolet Corvette (C7)
