Originally a facelifted version of the Chery Fengyun, Chery turned Qiyun into a budget-priced sub-brand, though by most accounts, the experiment flopped. Initially sales of the Qiyun 2 were acceptable, but dwindled soon after, and other models in the Qiyun line, which were facelifts of earlier Chery models, fared poorly, too.
